Class of 2009

Whee ! :) I'm proudly to announce my sister is grauduated from Sri Cempaka school at year 2011. I'm very proud of her and feeling happy to see what she had contribute herself in the graduation day. It's very touching too see her and her bunch of friends dancing on stage and singing songs together. I bet it gonna be a memorable memories which always inside their mind and heart. 

I got very sentimental when it comes to all this. I got cry easily when I watched their videos. It's just too touch, too happy for them ! :) I love my juniors, they are awesome :) I'm here to wish them all the best to their coming SPM and score as much A as can :D Striaght A's yo ! 

Not to forget, I also graduated at the same school but is in year 2009. I miss my high school life. Friends around are awesome and the best part is you get huggies everywhere! Friends are really close to each other. Maybe some of the haters might cause me piss but overall, they're  still awesome. Extra activities always bring more fun to study life. I have no regret for studying there. 

Anyway, back to reality I'm in University right now. Yes, no doubt, uni life could be awesome but the school is too big, too many students and you got limited chance to see everyone you know. That's the difference I guess ! ;) Oh yeah, I finally done with my psychology report, I'm really happy with it :D 

Been facing tension lately and yet I have to manage myself again, all by myself. I got several ways to release tension and I would like to share here. Normally I will go youtube search for my mentor's videos and watch as much as I can. This could help me boost up my motivation and at least I don't feel lazy.  I started to dream big again, get my goals and vision clear again. 

Secondly, I will watch dramas but this rarely will happen because I hate buffering ! Internet connection slow. Back to ends, I still prefer watching videos of my mentor or reading articles that really helpful on me. I guess, I'm back to life. I'm motivated again ! :D 

I guess don't dependent on others because sometimes they could even spoilt your mood and ruin your life. It's always better cure yourself first then only cure others, before you wanna get help, you help yourself first. :) Instead of waiting people come to you and comfort you, I think it could be better you comfort yourself first.

Self Improvement

 I spent my weekend amazingly ? NOT :) My mind couldn't even relax for a moment because there're so many to-do-list. Firstly, I got to diet start from tomorrow (biggest lie ever). Secondly, prepare all my report and submit to office. Thirdly, come out an idea for my competition. Fourthly, always stay hungry, stay foolish. :) This amazing quote became my to-do-list everyday ever since Steve Job had pass away.

Human are complicated. Minds are not in a peace. People just easily lost out their direction and life is getting more difficult from day to day but hey let me whisper to you " Easy is never an option". There's a hidden story behind a successful man. 

I spent my day with friends by chit chatting at cafe and we were more into business talk this time. No longer stalking at muscular guy, no longer talk about shopping, no longer talk about sales but it's future. Future was the topic we shared, we talked. What surprise me it's not my friends, but myself. I was in a very high pitch mode and trying to tell whatever I know to my friends, in another way, MOTIVATE. 

Alright, allow me to remind myself. We all are meant to be different therefore there're different kind of mindset, different kind of attitudes and personality. I'm more into a business side so when it applied in other people, i guess FAILED. Well, there's no right or wrong during the conversation, it's just only suitable or not suitable. 

This friend of mine - She's facing a little bit of difficulty in her work so she might be mumbling a little bit. In a sense of everyone, I guess it's alright to mumbling because life's hard that's why people need to express it out at her certain own comfortable way. Me - as a so call friend trying to help her, stop her mumbling and wanted to motivate her, I just knock down her words and start sharing my stories but the truth is it's not gonna help her. 

No doubt, mindset is the strongest tools of us and it's also the hardest tools that we can fix because once it's install, it's need some time to crack it and install a new mindset. By using the wrong mindset shooting to her, I guess the feeling became a little harsh, maybe even I had ignore her feelings ? 

Alright, this is where I need to brush up my skills. Never ever think people are good in what you feel, what you think. Well, in the world it's not how well you can fit people in your mind, but it's how good can you fit yourself into everyone. The size of success is measured by the strength of your desire, the size of your dream and the way you handle disappoint along the way. 

I admit the way I used gone wrong this time but I'm not going to give up because I learnt from mistakes and I know I might not shine today, not tomorrow but someday I gonna shine the way I am. 

I claim this post - Self improvement. Admit what's your mistakes and face it strongly. Never avoid ! Avoid might seems to keep your spirit but it's never gonna solve whatever you facing !

Happy Depavali

Oh my, 3 weeks ? 3 week no update for my blog. Well well well, typical excuses again - Busy with assignment. Anyway, gonna blog about amazing day today with mom and princesess and my special guest - Ching Cartene. 


It's a public holiday and everywhere is crowded yet we're still decided to visit Mid Valley to shop around for early new year clothes. Princessess got their new shoes and new jeans. Spending great time at Hokkaido as our lunch and in the middle of lunch, Ching came ! :) 




She accompanied us walk around and baby sit with me. So touchedd. :) Put both of the cute lady in the same picture - I known it as beauty ;)  Awwww, so cute ! There's this story line here. Let's the picture do the talking. :D 

They bumped into each other and found out the have the same interest. They got the same bangs and big eyes !

Temptation

It's been a while I did not have a proper post on outing and finally something interesting today. This post gonna be interesting and fun because it's about friendship and food. I had been lost contact with my high school friends for years and finally we came out this gathering at Makhota Cheras, Temptation. We had our dinner last Friday night. Woots, Friday night meant to be funn yo ! :) 

It's located at Makhota Cheras, same row with 99 speedmart ! Call me for direction.

We had a lot of laugther during the dinner. Back to the restaurant, this is owned by a family. It's a family business, the dad is the chef and mom is the order taker ? The most amazing is the children are the waiter and waitress who serve fantastic service. Talk about the food, they are very tempting, delicion. Meat are juicy and tender, fish is fresh and juicy too. I just got so addicted to the food now! :)

Seriously, I had a lot fun with the gang because with Sha Sha, there's definitely a lot of laughter. With the another two ladies, there's definitely endless topic to share, to chat and to laugh. I really wanna to have another gathering with them again because this bring us a lot old good memories that reminds us true friends never separate, true friends never dies. 

See, I told you ! She's sexy and with her sexyness she could bring you a lot of unforgettable memories and laughter :) 

I guess that's all about my gathering post. :) I know it's way too short but it's better than nothing. Once again, friendship goes strong as time goes by because we've been lost contact for years yet we're still holding each other hand and walking toward to our brighter future and lefting a lot of old good memories in the past.

Starting business ?

We see young entrepreneur everywhere nowadays and they're doing really good but one fact about them is " the start up fast, the lost up very fast too". To start up a business is always easy but to maintain the flow of business and let it live a legacy is hard. This require a lot of patient, time and money ! :) Nowadays, young entrepreneur don't do critical thinking, once they face a problem, they will refer back to older generation, seek for advises or go for a consultation from business person. 


Ask yourself, why older generation they can maintain their business for few generations ? Here's the trick ! People from older generation, the technology was still not advance, education was limited, there's no such thing call internet or google, even a business consultant. What they did was - they run away ?  No, they use critical thinking, they spend time to think it till they figure out the way to solve it. That's why the business can maintain well because they have personal experience and they won't repeat the same mistakes. 


All entrepreneurs are risk-takers, but good entrepreneurs are also risk-managers. Risk-adjusted returns are easy to calculate if you accurately measure the probability of failure. Not to say all but some of the young entrepreneur they don't take risk, they play safe. It's good to play safe but when it comes to safe means you earning limited money. In a business, we are talking about cash flow, cash flow is the king ! Most new business fail because they don't have enough money, even having some cash on your hand is never enough. It has to be profitable. 


Secondly emotions and business don't mix well. If you are like me and have been screwed over, the first feeling that goes to your head is anger. I know it is hard to control, but keep in mind that you can’t let emotions get in your way. All it will do is cloud your judgment. Instead of letting the anger get to you, try and end the relationship on peaceful terms. Even if that means you are going to end up with the short end of the stick, at least the other party won’t be able to say anything bad about you. And once the relationship is over, you also don’t want to say anything bad about the them.


Last but not least, get a business partner that you can mix well. A business partner will not only work harder than employees but someone who willing to face failure with you and enjoy happiness with you. It's hard to do everything, business partners can spilt up the task  and you will be able to settle certain tasks, this make the business more efficiency. You can never have a big enough network. If you have a business partner, you can reach his/her network, this help business growth also. 


That's all for my post ;) Once again, this is my personal opinion of the whole picture, of course there're more to share but not going to write all here, as while you reading you might get bored or it's not like I wanna write a book here. Here's my last tips :


Don't expect miracles happen in business. No matter what, you'll make mistakes but the key to success lies within learning from your mistakes.

I'm back !

It's been days again I abandon my blog. Just to update my friends, I'm back to study life ;) I'm back to University Nottingham Malaysia Campus. I got so excited when I know I got accepted by Nottingham and right now I'm in Bsc Applied Psychology and Management Studies. 

It's been tough days for past few months Facing quite number of failure and I'm glad that I'm once again stand up and ready to fight. To be honest, I hate that process but I guess this is life. Life's hard and if it's hard then let's do it hard. Failure will never is an excuse for me to give up because I always remembered there's no failure only learning experiences. I facing experiences that people never had and from there I gain my knowledge . 

One thing I learnt from this long holiday was - You don't have to explain yourself to everybody because the moment you start to explain, you already losing half side of it. It's always not how people look at us,  but it's how we look at ourself.  Short and fat ? I still rule myself in the world, I still get what I want with my effort and hard work.

Easy is not an option.

There are few reasons why people fear to be involved in direct selling or sales department.  One of the reason is the basic are dirt low, some don't even have their basic. Secondly, they are afraid of rejection and the word NO. Few friends of mine always ask me this question " Pei Ying, are you in direct selling or network marketing like Amway, Cosway and etc etc ? My answer was " Is that a problem for you if I join or I don't ?


I don't see any problem of joining in direct selling or involve myself in sales department. From my opinion : direct selling it's just an another word for promoter. For an example : When you're working in PC fair, the crowd are keep coming in and you are so aggressive therefore you keep on hard sell on your products. In fact, in our lifetime, we're keep on selling ourself to others. 


Let's say you graduated from Taylor College, you got a good result and looking for a secure job but ask yourself " Why employer needs to employ you but not others" ? It is because you're from Taylor or you can sell your professional to your boss ? In future, is either you sell your ideas to your business partners or you sell your professional to your boss. 


Due to I'm so in love in marketing, that's why I don't mind to receive tons of rejection and tons of critics because from there I learnt form my mistakes and from my mistakes, I've grown to be someone better. It's not a big deal to be failure because I believe there's no failure only learning experience. 


Why join a direct selling company if you plan to start up a company ? 


~ Starting up a business is never an easy task. Statistics has shown that 90% of small to medium businesses fail within the first 2 years of operation. Many individuals struggle as they turn from employees to being self-employed. Newly born entrepreneurs simply do not understand what it takes to make a business successful. Despite so, many dive into a business with the hope of making big money without proper planning. More often than not these group end up with a huge business debt and a ruined reputation.


According to international best seller Robert Kiyosaki (author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad), a business is made up of 8 elements. When you are involved in a direct selling company, you put these 8 elements into practice. Applying these practices will build up the experience that is needed to start up and run your business successfully. 



1. Mission
An individual who wants to own a business must have a mission in life. The mission of a business owner drafts out the goals and objectives of his or her business. A direct selling company always emphasizes on their mission and their vision. Distributors are often encouraged to set their own targets so that they will be disciplined to achieve their goals in life.


2. Leadership
“Leadership is the ability to get extraordinary achievement from ordinary people.” Brian Tracy. The purpose of leadership in businesses is to guide the many opinions of people within the organization to one direction so that they will head towards the business’ goals. If leadership skills are not present, distractions often occur which prevent businesses to be effective. In direct selling, all members are given leadership training either by their company or by their up line. Training is provided free or at a low cost as members are encouraged to recruit, develop and maintain its’ own down line.


3. Team
The top companies in the world become successful not because of luck, but because they employ the right people to do the right job. Not only do they do this right, they also chose the cream of the crop to work for them. In the direct selling business, new members may not have the chance to be parked under a good team. Nevertheless, they have the right to select a talented team for themselves whom they can build their business on. By being involved in network marketing, an individual is able to obtain skills to determine who he or she can work with. In the business world, having these team-working skills will prevent unhealthy politics to take place.    
   
4. Product
Product; be it a good or a service is the element that generates income for a business. Many small businesses fail because the owners sell what they desire but not what consumers desire. Insufficient research is done to determine if the product will sell in the market. A direct selling company usually does a thorough research on market demand before it launches its products. This simplifies distributors’ quantitative research and it increases opportunity for them to conduct qualitative research. In other words, distributors are aware that there is a demand and he or she is able to find out what consumers are looking for specifically. These first hand information obtained are useful for the business that they plan to start up in the future. However for this to be effective, a direct selling approach must be accompanied by questions to probe further on identifying prospects’ desires. 


5. Legal
Businesses that face legal lawsuits risk damaging its’ own reputation. A network marketer who understands the reason behind each direct selling company’s rules and regulations minimizes the risk of failure for his or her own future personal business. 


6. Systems
A business system is a structure which specifies the pathway of how it runs. It is a collection of steps that has to be carried out to ensure the long term growth of the business. When there is a system in place, work can be carried out productively. Being involved with a direct selling company offers members the opportunity to manage a ready built system. Upon understanding the system, entrepreneurs can then creatively modify and integrate the effectiveness of this strategic system to their new business model. 


7. Communications
Businesses communicate to the public via its marketing strategies, public relations and customer service personnel. For long term survival, it is vital for every business to build its own brand awareness early at the startup stage. The most cost effective method is to use the word-of-mouth strategy. Despite so, many direct selling companies move into advertising in the media to promote their products. Joining a network marketing company will enable you to identify and learn from the methods used by the company to engage the public’s involvement in the business or as loyal customers. The strategies used can then be innovatively duplicated to reach your future customers.      


8. Cash Flow
Businesses rely on cash flow for survival. When there is cash flow, businesses can start to plan for expansion. The way direct selling members manage their personal income and expenditures in most cases reflects the way they manage their future business’ cash flow. This is because in direct selling, distributors are not given a basic salary. Likewise majority of small business owners do not get any funding. These two groups of people have to initially rely on their savings to keep their business in operation. Thus a good indicator to find out if you will be successful in starting up and running your own small business successfully is if you are able to generate a consistent income from a direct selling business for at least 2 years.


People are so afraid to take risk when they don't even take their first step. When friend A said : Pei Ying, why are you working so hard right now ? You afraid you cannot work in the future meh ? Friend B said : Sales very hard to do, I don't like. I don't like sell items to people.  



To be honest, I'm practicing this 8 elements in my job, especially in the specific field. Maybe it's still under the progress, no result, just talk but I believe someday I will shine. Not today, not tomorrow but I know someday :)


Dear friends, there's no intention on this post, just sharing but what I'm trying to tell is easy is not an option. Start learning about value of money and figure out what is your pathway. Easy comes, easy goes. Life's hard, if it's hard then do it hard. There's always no short cut for success !

I mix it.

Good morning everyone :) Just woke up from my tight sleep, hiding myself under blanket is a good thing. It's been a while I did not get a good sleep. As those friends who know or chat with me lately, they know well how busy I am. I've been busy since raya week till now. 

Woke up early in the morning, was browsing all my pictures again. I love to do this ! I found one of this picture of mine, I was thinking " wow, I look good in this picture, young and pretty " Look at me now, my eye bags, my face ! :( Big and round face, I know I know I'm a typical woman here again, complaining how fat I am, how ugly I am. I shall zip my mouth before all the bullets shoot on me. 

Goodbye is the saddest word in the world, it is ? I remembered you don't say goodbye to me because you said you don't like it. Somehow, you just simply put a smile on my face by doing this silly thing.  I've been busy for so long till I slow down everything, till my mind start thinking about you, my friend. 

Your quotes always keep me accompany, and I know I'm not alone. Maybe you're not around me but in my heart, there's always a position for you. Your words still running around my mind which show how supportive are you. We got this strong attach, same aim, same ambition, common topics to talk with. You're are a wonderful person to me, with amazing personality. 

Tough we are apart, but we share the same side of the moon. Friendship doesn't count miles, it measured by the heart.  This is a long journey, I will walk till it's end, till it's okay, till it's alright.We will be friends, as long as stars twinkle in the sky, as long as angels are there up high, till oceans run dry, till the day I die.

Fun Fun Fun

I guess I'm pretty lucky because I got to have fun with my best friend before knowing my result of my reassessment. Well, what I can said is I really did my best, I put in 100% effort but results did not come out what I want. In the pathway of being success, there's definitely a process of being failure because we always have to learn from mistakes. There's no failure, only learning experience. I hope I can finish my degree at Notts. Hope all my friends will see me running around at Nottingham on this coming semester.

Back to the title, I was sharing I had fun with my best friend at Viva Home. We had our brunch as there also, we ate "Kam Lin Kei". When I first saw the shop, I was so excited because this shop original was from Petaling Street, famous Hokkien Mee at there. My first attempt was at Lot 10, treated by a nice friend. Right now, totally in love with the hokkien mee.

After had our brunch together, we walked around and chat around. We bought some childhood stuff !  Let's check out :D

The basic simple friendship bond between this two girls :D

Hanging around the mall for 3 hours then we got to ciao :) We had shared a lot a lot of stories together ;) We have been sticking with each other for 3 years, this year going to be the fourth year. Can you imagine ? We did not plan to study the same high school, didn't plan for study at the same University too but I guess fate brought us together and gave us a very strong bond. 

What friendship means to you ? To me it's - To infinity and beyond ! x)

Believes.

Why am I different from others ?  

Did you ever ask yourself this question ? Why are you different compare to others ? Let's don't talk about fashion, hairdo, or appearance because all this are given naturally. You can change it if you want as right now clothing are more fashionable, technology are more advanced and you can just go Korean make some changes. 

Let's talk about self achievement. Why am I different from her/him ? Why is the guy making hell a lot of money at the age of 18, 19, 20 or 21 ? Why is this girl getting her own business while she still studying ? Why am I not ? 

What did you achieve at your current age right now ? Does this achievement bring you to another stage of better standard living ? If no, please do some improvement. What I mean here is - if you think you have a sex life before age 21 and that's your achievement, please. Kindly re think. Will this achievement bring you good life in future ? Maybe you agree to be a gigolo ? I don't know. 

People just don't believe they can actually do what they want. They just don't believe because they don't believe with themselves and majority of them got influence by friends around them. For an example - Samantha, this business cannot do la, so high risk, slow return. How to earn big money ? 

But the problem here is how your friends know it's high risk and slow return when they not even contribute themselves in something new or that particular field. Believe at here is very important because with your believe, you put your words into action and action brings you reality story. Can you drive Jaguar at the age of 24 ? You doubt it but some other people had proven this to you. It's not about they're smarter than us but it's about how much they believe in dreams and that believe turn it to determination. 

Human being are very funny. They don't believe it until it really happen in front of their eyes. In fact, before you want it to be happen, you have to believe it. Does it make sense here ? If you don't believe yourself you can actually make your 1st million, will it happen ? It won't happen here because you did 0 action on it, you put 0 effort. However, if you believe that you can make your 1st million by age 23, you will start turn your believe to action and will this action bring you amazing outcome ? 

Guess what ? Your action will put you into recognition. Take it or leave it ?  Please allow me to share one of my video :) He's a Malaysian, he believes what he believe.

Working experience

Just woke up couple hours ago and taken breakfast. :) No plan for Friday. I know it's Friday and it's still my holiday but I got 0 plan today. Plan to slumber on my couch and watch tv shows ! Since I got nothing to do, I would like to share some of my experience with my dearly friends.

Alright, if you're so into marketing, maybe you shall continue reading because I'm a person who is so into marketing too. I learnt majority of it from my working experience.  I'm more major on service line, more on a business developer. 

How to define yourself as business developer or businessman/businesswoman ? 

Businessman/Businesswoman - Always have this kind of mind of "business is not a charity", when money comes first, they will attack the money. Businessman is someone who involve management of a company. Money is a very sensitive issue to them. 

Business developer - In short therm, they more focus on building relationship with customers to gain long term relationship in the future. They are more on generate ideas and initiatives to work with other partners. 

First case I met : 

I was working at this roadshow by a biscuit company. I shall not mention it's name at here. ;) Basically I'm a coordinator for the game booth, take care the children and guide them how to play. Been working for 4 days, it's not that I don't like this job, it's just that this is not much I passion with. On the last day, there's this guy (I think he's the boss) asked me to work at sales department.

Alright, everyone knows biscuit it's a need because it's food. Customers walk in to the booth, definitely they will buy at least one packet. Me myself, set a goal of - every customer of mine must buy at least 2 packets from me. If customer with potential, then I shall ask him/her to buy 4. 

I guess I did it. I kept promoting and telling them the product knowledge, educate them with my passion. When we're in sales, we are actually educating someone with something we passion with. It's okay if you consume a lot time on a customer because you're actually building a very good relationship between him/her with the company. I sold off all the peanut butter and cheese flavor. I got a lot compliment from customers and even sales person from the biscuit company. That's my satisfaction and this satisfaction drive me to another stage. This is my intrinsic motivation, no one can decide it for me.  

I know many people might thinking, I just do the talking, no photos, no videos, no prove at all. But in fact, you don't have to explain to others how much effort you put in, how much time you consumed, all this explanation you can keep it away because when the moment you start explain, you already lose on the game. You don't need to explain because when you got your own result, people will come to you. 

Every successful entrepreneur do not have a lot friends when they just started their business because when it comes to problem, people tend to avoid it, especially money issue. Only few of true friends will be side of the entrepreneur. Believe it or not ? Observe yourself. Once they entrepreneur come out something big and success, people automatically will go towards him/her just to get something that will benefit themselves. People never think of what kind of benefit can they give to others or society  but only think of what benefit can they get from others.

Back to year 2008

Alright, I'm having a good holiday mood and I was too bored and I got started reading back my older entries and I realized I did something silly yet it was so okay for me during year 2008, at the age of 16.


I had this very short hair cut ! Very short and I was like some kido, looking extremely ugly as well. HAHA. Telling the whole world about " no honey star no happy, no him no love " Isn't that childish ? Oh Maih God ! This so call quote was the first entry of my blog back to year 2008. I got so sensitive with numbering of 12, even since I see the number of 12, it links to everything about the love one.


Back to year 2008, it was my first year in Sri Cempaka. Weishin We and Ivin Tan were my two closest friends at Sri Cempaka  because we had the same tuition together :) The most amazing thing during our tuition was - we talked about our boyfriend before the classes start,  after class dismiss and it's still about our boyfriend.




I kept reading on my entries and suddenly this post just made a pause on my reading :
Dar sorry to kacau you but you eat your dinner already ? and I view your blog. I wan to tell you I deserve to have you I don't care what my friends said. Want say mah let them say la, this kind of friend I don't have also nvm. oklah, that is all I wan to said, take care~ love you, muackzzz...


Awww :) This is very sweet text ! This will melt your heart, isn't ? HAHA ! I have to admit this is like a puppy love during high school but I did enjoyed very much and it always will be part of my old good memories deep inside my heart. 


As time goes by, things change, human change, my thinking changed too. Everything around me gone very different but I still prefer the old style love, that kind of love seriously will mark a very remarkable scar deep inside your heart. Should I say love is powerful ? :)

One of my good working partner - Jane Lim


Was running a workshop with her ;) It's a TV show by Cbeebies. Tv host is all the way from London and everyone call him Mister Maker. Basically this tv show just like Art Attack. Familiar with Art Attack ? Try to recall back because I guess majority of the youngster used to watch Art Attack. Oh Maih Godd, I miss Art Attack a lot because it teaches us how to use simple ingredients and simple skills to come out something outstanding !


Anyway, back to topic. Jane and I have been running this workshop for 2 days. Oh yeah, this workshop specially designed for kids. This Tv Show is on Astro and Hypp Tv, I forget with the channel :) Google it ! Google tells you the answer for it.

Holiday Mood

Hello people ! I just changed my blog link and edited with some simple templete. I guess I'm way too free to do all this kind of thing after my re assessment. I'm so glad that everything is over and the best thing of my days is - once I open my eyes, the next thing I need to do is think what should I take for my breakfast, no longer thinking about what subject should I do my revision. 

I never felt this relieve ever. I've been studying for whole 2 months, exam for 3 weeks and now I proudly announce I'm totally FREE. Friends, do date me out. During raya week, I think I gonna be a mad woman, hang out with friends, gathering with school mates or maybe just get myself slumber lying on the sofa watching my favourite Master Chef !

Oh, wait ! I'm wrong ;) I guess I will be working before my semester start. Guess who will I going to meet soon ? Stay tune and maybe I will blog about her, him or them someday ! I mean more outing post will be blog, more friendship blog will be post too, maybe relationship a little bit and last but not least, all about myself !
